Review on the iPhone 4

I recently acquired my iPhone 4 and after what I had heard in the news about the signal problems and stuff I was wondering how good it would actually be. But after a few weeks I have found that I am having absolutely no signal problems with the phone at all. I think the so called 'death grip' is a complete myth. The iPhone 4 is a lot better than the previous model. The 'retina display' looks amazing and I find playing apps are now even more fun. The new apple a4 chip has also made the phone a lot faster which makes opening apps a breeze.

I would definitely recommend this phone over any other phone available on the market today.

WifiTrak

WifiTrak - the perfect Wi-Fi Power-Pack!

I am sure that many iPod Touch and iPhone users use Wi-Fi networks at home or away. But is the Wi-Fi detector in the settings pages of your devices really showing you all that you want to know?
There could be a free Wi-Fi network around that you would normally not be able to see...

So - use WifiTrak!
The Wi-Fi detector built into the settings pages of the iPod Touch and the iPhone only display Wi-Fi networks of a certain strength - but WifiTrak detects networks of any strength (sort this out in the settings of the app, along with many more features), many of which you can still easily connect to, with no trouble. You can connect to networks from within the app, which proves useful. Each network displayed also has 'symbols' telling you if it is Secured, Open, Unavailable and much, much more. And for only 59p, it is unbelivable value.

Don't mess around with poor-quality Wi-Fi detectors such as the default one on your device or free ones from the AppStore. They generally don't work. But - WifiTrak DOES!
My advice is quite simple - just get this app now, if you ever have anything to do with Wi-Fi.

You certainly woon't regret it!

Fat Booth

Fat Booth is a quite funny and interesting app which always makes me laugh. Ask yourself this one question have you ever wanted to make someone look fat? Well if you have this app answers it. This app is available on the app store for 59p ($0.99) which is pretty good value. Well anyway I have had hours of fun with this app taking pictures of people and making them look fat never gets old. This app has to be one of the funniest apps on the app store.

I would recommend this app to the more joking type otherwise if you don't fall under this group of people it may not be the app for you. Just be warned be prepared to take the consequences!

iMovie

iMovie is a new app developed by Apple and basically the app allows you to edit and share movies on your iPhone 4. The app currently costs £2.99 which I think is pretty cheap as from every phone I know of you cannot edit and create your own movie projects. Unfortunately this app has had a lot of bad reviews saying that it is laggy and slow to export movies but then to be honest the iPhone 4 is now where near as powerful as a proper computer. The features iMovie gives you I think are pretty good. You get to import movies, pictures and even add your own audio.

I do hope at some point they do add a little more features like more themes and stuff and possibly optimize the app but otherwise I think it is a pretty good buy if you enjoy creating your own movie projects.

Angry Birds

The review you've all been waiting for the legendary Angry Birds. First things first Angry Birds is available for 59p ($0.99) on the app store which interms of game play means it is actually very cheap. Angry Birds is really a physics based game you catapult birds into buildings to destroy the green pigs. There is a large range of birds at least five in fact, ranging in all kinds of different abilities from blowing up, just crashing into buildings and a lot more.

Angry Birds still holds its throne at the top of the top 25 apps page and it isn't hard to see why. Angry Birds is a crazy and wonderful game. It is a great app for playing whilst you are away travelling or just have nothing else to do 5/5. Great!

CoD Zombies

CoD Zombies is a very amusing app, you can spend countless hours shooting at zombies alone or with your friends online. Yes CoD Zombies does support multiplayer. Unfortunately this app does come with a price precisely £5.99 which I think is pretty steep seeing that you only get one map. More maps are available if you are willing to pay another £2.99. There are only two maps available at the moment for this app as Activision decided to make a CoD Zombies 2, where they would add more maps.

When CoD Zombies was first released the controls w

ere quite difficult to get used to but in a recent update the have improved the controls. Making the app a lot easier to play. Another problem users have been experiencing is the amount of battery this app guzzles up. I would recommend you do not play this on the go as it could greatly lower your battery power.

I would rate this 4.5/5 but I do think the price tag is pretty high but then again it is a good buy!

Skype

Skype is a free to use, calling and texting app available on the app store for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The good thing about it is that you only need a wi-fi connection. I find Skype most useful for Skype to Skype calls as these calls are completly free without any hidden charges.

You can also buy skype credit so you can text and call phone lines for a very low price. For more details on skype you can go to their website at www.skype.com.

I would highly recommend that you download this app as it is free, and in my view I think it is very useful and helpful for when I just want to message friends for free.

Pocket God Comics Review!

Just Get it - You Won't Regret it!

Pocket God has been an extremely succesful app - hanging around in the top 25 apps for quite some time. They have now, however,brought out a new app from iVerse Media. This new app of theirs is Pocket God Comics, with four 'episodes' coming out soon. The first is out, and is extremely good, in fact, a better word to use would be fantastic, or amazing!

The story is very good (and funny), and the art style is fantastic, with very fine attention to detail. The app is very simple ( which makes it good ), and as mentioned in many other reviews, the Pygmies each have their own personality, more so than in the PG game, which makes them fun to learn about. Most of the adventures that the characters go through often include monsters or activities from the PG game, such as the laser shark.
All ages will enjoy this app, and I definately reccomend that you purchase the app - especially as it only costs 59p/99 cents! Amazing Value!

Clarityn Pollen Prediction App

Wondering when to take precautions for your Hayfever? Then Wonder no more - simply download Clarityn's App for FREE from the Apple Store!

Clarityn has recently released a new App for those who suffer from Hayfever. The purpose of the App is reasonably accurate Pollen Forecasting. You must be connected to the internet in order to use it, and when you use the app you can see the pollen levels all around the country for today and tomorrow. Very useful! It also provides you with tips, although some of the Hayfever tips are either stating the obvious, or a bit dum anyway. For example: "Ask someone else to mow the lawn". Really!

Apart from the dodgy tips, the app is very useful for Hayfever sufferers, and I definately reccomend that you download this app for free, instead of paying more money for another app that is not as good.

Providing that you only want a two-day forcast for pollen (not weather!) then you should definately buy this app.

Asphalt 5

The next app on review is Asphalt 5. In one word a great app!

Asphalt 5 is currently rated 4/5 stars and located just under Angry Birds in seconds place on the Top 25 apps on the app store. The game is currently valued at £0.59 for a limited time so you better be quick to grab this bargain! The aim of the game is to race and win. There are plenty of game modes like cop chases, races, multiplayer and a lot more. The app is optimised for the iPhone 4 so the graphics are truly wonderful. Go from racing in a Mini Cooper S to a Lamborghini Gallardo.

I would highly recommend you get this app before the price goes up.

Fragger Review!

Fragger Review

Fragger, by Miniclip, is a relatively new app and is currently placed 4th on the App Store and you can see why. The objective of the app is simple throw grenades at the bandits to kill them and advance through the levels. The app currently cost £0.59 ($0.99) which is pretty cheap compared to the quality of the game.

But if you where thinking of it to be a lot like Angry Birds you may have to think again.

Fragger has been made to be a bit like Angry Birds but unfortunately for me it is lacking a few features. First of all there is only one type of grenade. The reason I say this is that Angry Birds includes at least 5 types of birds to keep the game play entertaining. Another thing I have to say about it is well the gameplay isn't quite as fun as Angry Birds as you can destroy buildings and do all that fun physics type gameplay. Angry Birds also features a lot more chapters and levels than Fragger currently has.

I would still recommend this as a good buy but unfortunately if you thought it was going to be an Angry Birds competitor you are wrong.

I would rate it 4/5.

Jelly Car 2 - Here's the Review

" Jelly Car 2 in one word: Fantastic. Get it Now - Don't Hesitate! "

Jelly Car 2 is a fun, easy to play platform game. The object of the game is to drive the 'Jelly Car' through levels to the finish line. But it's not that easy - there will be many obstacles in your way such as moving platforms, rotating platforms, drops, ski slopes ( a special level )
and much, much more. Those who have played Jelly Car 1 should definately upgrade to
Jelly Car 2. JC2 has many new 'power ups' aswell for your car, such as a ballon to lift you up and 'sticky tyres' to let you drive up walls. I may just be being silly, but I preferred the music of Jelly Car 1 to the music of Jelly Car 2. Probably just me being a bit silly though.
The Graphics are good; the physics are good; and it's generally very realistic.

New levels and updates are also added very often, so even if you complete all the levels (which may be a bit difficult) you will never be short of fun. Another great feature is the ability to customise your car and your control style.

And for Only 59p on the app store, it's also superb value.
Jelly Car 2 in one word: Fantastic. Get it Now - Don't hesitate.

Pocket God is an extrememly popular app for the iPod Touch and the iPhone.

Here at The Appreneur, we think that that 'summary' of the game sums up the game perfectly. It certainly makes you want to play the game - I read it and it compelled me to go on the app.

Pocket God is where you are the God of a group of Pygmies on many different islands with many different activities. For example, the latest update features a new area called Ape Island - where you have to sacrifice the Pygmies to the Ape. If you do it right, the Ape will come and... you guessed it - eat all the pygmies.

It is extremely addictive, and many people find it hard to stop playing. Even if you do start to get a bit bored (extremely unlikely) new updates arrive extremely regularly. Once, I barely had time to play one new update before another one came! The updates are very fun and interesting, and all feature extra 'skin packs' for you to customise practically any object in the game.
